What do I get?

Does it tell me which mattress to buy?
No. It is a method, not a review. It gives you the shape to write, six pass or fail gates, 70 questions across four weighted criteria, and a scorecard that totals up to five mattresses. The answer comes from your answers.
Do I need Excel?
No. The spreadsheet opens in Google Sheets and Apple Numbers as well as Excel. The PDF works on its own if you prefer paper. Most people print the PDF for the store and enter the scores in the spreadsheet at home.
Can I change the weights?
Yes. The four criteria carry starting weights of five, four, four and three. They live on one tab. Change any weight and every total recalculates. Solo sleepers drop the shared bed to two.
Is this for buying online or in a store?
Both. The gates and questions work on any mattress from any seller. Several questions exist specifically to catch retailer-exclusive model names, store-credit returns and bundles you cannot unbundle.
Is there a refund?
